Gorkle

Gorkle is a gremlin who lives in cyber space. He doesn’t like where he lives, it’s a miserable place because there are no bright colours anywhere. He likes the look of Earth. He really likes the brightly coloured text messages that humans send to each other, which he tries to keep.

For ages:

5-9

My Background

As an educator, I understand the importance of creating learning experiences for children that are fun and engaging. Whenever I pick up a book I think about how children will respond to it. Is the cover appealing? Is the title captivating? and What will the children learn from the story? are the questions I ask myself.

When I write a story, I write because I enjoy it, but as I write I am thinking about the illustrations and how the story will enhance learning experiences.

Readers' Testimonials

I liked how you used rhyming words and it had a nice base. I liked the Santa part because it was very catchy.

Beckett, aged 8

Rollo's Wet Surprise is an entertaining enjoyable children's book that I would recommend for children aged 5 to 9. Rollo's dislike for water is endearing as generally dogs like water. This book takes the audience on an emotional roller coaster as Rollo's curiosity gets the better of him.

Ryan, aged 13

It is so good and so entertaining! It is really interesting and fun chaos.

Kunga, aged 8

Khunchok, aged 8

I loved this story as I can read it anytime and it makes me excited for Christmas. The part where the reindeer get stuck was really funny! The door is magical.
